Northwest Water Systems is a terrific, growing company that provides professional management, planning and engineering services to small public water systems in Washington State. We have about 35 employees, six of whom are engineers. We are seeking an individual excited about managing technical projects and completing engineering designs. Our company is a great place to work and grow.

If you have a positive attitude, enjoy showing initiative, and have a strong work ethic, we’d like to get to know you better. We have a great team and a “family” environment at work. We care about each other, respect, and support each other. We value maintaining a workplace that is a terrific environment, so we are much more interested in who you are as a person than the experience or education you have.

This position involves assisting our clients obtain funding and navigate various loan and grant programs as well as the associated design work. It also involves identifying the needs of various water systems, helping identify solutions for those needs, and following through with our clients to see that those needs are met. This position involves helping people and making a real difference in the lives of those living in the communities we serve. Finally, this position also involves assisting with engineering, planning, and design work. The ratio of the various types of work will depend on the workload available and your personal interests.

While beginning engineers or project managers will be considered, at least 1 year of experience in project management, and/or engineering design is preferred.

Our office is located in Port Orchard. The majority of our projects are located in the west and south Puget Sound regions, but we work on projects located throughout the state. Occasional site inspections and fieldwork are required. At least some fieldwork will be required, although we make an effort to assign more field intensive projects to those who enjoy getting out of the office. Some remote work may be possible once established; however, at least initially, most if not all work must be based out of our Port Orchard office.

Starting salary is anticipated to be $60,000-$120,000/yr, depending on experience and the ability to serve our clients effectively. Northwest Water Systems strongly believes in compensating our team as well as possible based on the value you bring. We hope to be able to increase your salary as you demonstrate your ability to serve our clients well and bring value to our team. We do not expect or pressure anyone to work beyond a 40 hour week; however, if individuals want to work additional hours, that would of course increase productivity and then salary as a result.

Northwest Water Systems provides the following benefits:

· 50% Health Insurance

· 401K with 3% match

· Flexible work schedule

· Paid Time Off

· Super nice people

· Bonus structure options

We look forward to meeting you to see if we would be a good fit for each other, and if so, having you join our team.

Please submit a cover letter explaining why you would be the best candidate for this position and resume to: lydia@nwwatersystems.com and cc todd@nwwatersystems.com
