This role involves close collaboration with creative and marketing professionals to design exceptional, customer-led brand experiences. The ideal candidate will have a passion for design and branding, with the ability to concept and execute creative projects within a larger team.Duration: 3 months w/ potential to extendLocation: Santa Monica, CA or Seattle, WA (hybrid)Hours: 40 hours/weekPay Rate: $60-70/hourJob Description:The Senior Brand Designer must be skilled at working across multiple marketing channels, understand the complexities of a global brand, and have experience developing and maintaining brand system guidelines. They should respond to creative briefs with fresh ideas and strategic design systems, and be motivated to develop the best solutions for every challenge. Comfort with ambiguity, strong communication, and organizational skills are essential. The candidate should have an advanced understanding of typography, grid, layout, and accessibility, demonstrated through a professional portfolio of relevant projects.Responsibilities:
Collaborate with creative directors, designers, writers, producers, and marketing professionals to design customer-led brand experiences.
Concept and execute creative projects in alignment with project briefs, stakeholder inputs, functional requirements, and timelines.
Develop and maintain brand system guidelines to ensure consistency across all marketing channels.
Present work professionally, showcasing both creative and logical thinking.
Work independently on projects, demonstrating comfort with ambiguity and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
Create production-ready assets and prototypes as needed.
Requirements
Qualifications:
6+ years of design industry experience at an agency or in-house creative team.
Experience designing transformative interactive experiences through front-end user interfaces, narrative storytelling, systems thinking, and prototyping.
Proven ability to develop and maintain brand guidelines.
Strong grasp of the creative process, from ideation to implementation.
Deep understanding of typography, design principles, trends, and best practices across digital and print.
Proficiency in Figma, InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, and Keynote.
Strong attention to detail and creative problem-solving skills.
Exceptional communication, collaboration, and presentation skills.
Requirements:
Portfolio showcasing systematic brand and identity development scaling across multiple touchpoints.
Examples of product/UI/UX design where you were the primary designer.
Examples of cross-channel user experiences for web and mobile.
Experience collaborating closely with other designers, researchers, product managers, and engineers.
Understanding of motion-related design elements.
