Job Title: Electrical Engineer IVJob DescriptionThe Reality Labs team is building products that make it easier for people to connect with the ones they love most. As an Electrical Engineer in Prototyping & Concept Team, you will employ your expertise in problem-solving and prototyping to accelerate product development across the VR hardware organization. You will collaborate with teams within Hardware Engineering, Research and Development, and Industrial Design. The team is responsible for rapidly building and iterating polished high-fidelity prototypes and development platforms that bring new ideas to life by expressing design intent and user experience - using the best and most appropriate tools and techniques for the task.We are seeking an Electrical Engineer who has a passion for working across disciplines to turn early cutting-edge concepts and technologies into reality. As an Electrical Engineer, you will be responsible for circuit design, layout, bring-up, and debug as part of prototype and concept development. You must be able to work with minimal guidance, demonstrate a high attention to detail, be partnership-oriented, and possess strong problem-solving skills. You must be a self-starter, well-organized, and have excellent communication skills.Hard Skills

BS or MS in Electrical Engineering (or equivalent)

4+ years of experience with system-level electrical design including circuit design, system bring-up, integration, and debug

Experience in low-power circuit design, DC/DC converters, power management methods, audio circuit design, high-speed signals, and analog design

Experience with microcontrollers, digital circuit design, and various communications protocols such as I2C, UART, SPI, USB, MIPI, I2S, etc.

Experience with mixed-signal board-level design

Hands-on experience with debugging and related equipment (Oscilloscope, Multimeters, Logic Analyzers, etc.)

Experience with design development from schematic capture, PCB layout through assembly

Experience with Altium or Cadence design tools

Experience working with firmware/software teams to define and implement firmware, drivers, and algorithms

Experience with programming in C/C for development, debugging, testing, and performance analysis

Experience with programming in Python for data collection and analysis
