MARKETING COORDINATOR OVERVIEW: Facilitate the planning and execution of advertising and promotion for Marketing & Communications Department projects. Support the Digital Marketing team with email campaign support, testing, approval, and reporting and assist in the project management of digital ad campaign coordination. FLSA STATUS:Non-Exempt REPORTS TO: Digital Marketing Manager COMPENSATION:$20-22 hourly rateDOE; 40 hours per week BENEFITS: Full time employees are covered by medical, dental, vision, basic life insurance/LTD/AD&D. Employees are able to enroll in our company’s 403b plan. Employees will also receive ten days of sick leave and ten days of vacation leave every year, twelve paid holidays and one floating holiday throughout the calendar year. Additional benefits include subsidized transportation (ORCA business passport), access to fitness facility, and museum membership. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Assist Digital Marketing Team with project management of email campaigns. This may include the following tasks
Manage internal partner departments to ensure key information is supplied when submitting requests for inclusion
Manage review and quality assurance process for test emails
Assist with list segmentation and management
Email content proofing.
Optimizing copy and length
Support the Digital Marketing team in managing ad campaigns, paid social media, display and google search ads, Google Grant etc.) from end to end including reporting results. This may include support in the following tasks:
Asset organization and coordination.
Communicating and managing creation of assets.
Support in creating and managing timelines for campaigns.
Distribution of assets and copy.
Quality assurance of ads and assets.
Data collection and organization
Support in project management of ad campaigns.
Routing content and copy.
Perform other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS, KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:
BA/BS OR equivalent combination of experience
Candidates with 2 or more years of marketing communication, social media, email marketing, or administrative experience, particularly advertising, media buying, and graphic design project management experience preferred
Strong written and oral communication skills; able to communicate effectively and project a professional image with internal and external customers
Experience working with diverse cultures, communities and institutions
A dedication to equity
An interest in arts, nonprofits, and/or museums
Demonstrated expertise and proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access)
Experience with work management tools such as Asana or Basecamp
Ability to work independently and in a team setting with a high level of initiative, creativity, tact, and attention to detail
Ability to take initiative, prioritize multiple competing tasks, and meet deadlines
Strong organizational and time-management skills
Ability to adhere to SAM policies and to support management decisions in a positive, professional manner
ADDITIONAL SKILLS (Not required but a plus):
Experience with CRM systems
Experience with Google Analytics, Sprout, or other data software
Experience with Meta, Google, and/or LinkedIn advertising
Experience working in non-profits or arts institutions
Experience writing digital ad copy
Experience working with communities where English may be used as a second language
WORKING CONDITIONS:
Exposure : Work areas are primarily inside, in a climate-controlled environment with light background noise. Work is occasionally performed at other indoor and outdoor sites.
PHYSICAL ACTIVITIES REQUIRED FOR ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Stationary Work : Approximately 80% of time is spent stationary while working at a desk. Balance of time (approximately 20%) is spent moving around the work area. Occasional extended periods of standing may be required when assisting at Museum events.
Communication : Clear and effective communication with volunteers, donors, members, the public, and co-workers is necessary.
Moving : The ability to move up to twenty pounds on occasion is necessary for moving files, equipment, and supplies. Must be able to regularly position self to access files.
Office Work : Ability to effectively and regularly operate a computer, keyboard, and other office productivity machinery, such as copy machines and printers, and ability to inspect, prepare and use paperwork, files, equipment, and supplies is necessary.
