This is a permanent full-time, union-contracted position. The Membership Coordinator is responsible for the daily operations associated with the UW Alumni Association’s membership program. This includes processing memberships; ensuring institutional and organizational policies and procedures are met; accurately tracking membership revenue; and reporting on campaign programs. The Membership Coordinator serves as one of the UW Alumni Association’s primary contacts for internal and external constituents regarding membership sales, explanation of benefits and services and alumni data updates.What You Will Do: Program Management (85%) Process annual and lifetime memberships and donations to UWAA, including auditing memberships, balancing membership payments, processing payments, and logging and deposit preparation of checks, cash and credit card payments.
Audit and update UWAA member data and general alumni data; create new member and alumni records in relational database, as needed.
Manage the inventory, preparation and mailing of member welcome packets, thank you letters and other correspondence to members.
Train and delegate work to the Membership team’s work-study student.
Prepare reports on member acquisition and retention statistics using detailed tracking and metrics analysis.Customer Service (10%) Complete phone, email and in-person membership sales.
Develop in-depth program knowledge and respond to member inquiries by phone, e-mail, mail and in-person.
Support the University’s commitment to diversity, equity, inclusion and belonging (DEIB).
Provide back-up support to the UWAA Customer Service program and front desk.Other duties as assigned (5%) MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS High school graduate or equivalent AND two years of experience in data entry, including collecting, organizing, protecting and storing data, clerical and customer service or related field.What You Bring: Ability to work and communicate effectively.

Excellent organizational and planning skills, including the ability to manage several projects simultaneously.
Ability to make decisions in ambiguous situations and exercise sound judgment based on information and analysis in a fast-paced, dynamic, deadline-driven environment, while maintaining organization and professionalism.
Proficiency using relational databases.
