Oversee and manage the daily operations of the Medical Surgical (Med/Surg) department.

Ensure optimal patient care by maintaining high standards of nursing practice, monitoring patient outcomes, and implementing quality improvement initiatives.

Supervise and evaluate the performance of Med/Surg staff, including nurses and support staff.

Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes and promote interdisciplinary communication and teamwork.

Participate in budget planning and resource allocation for the Med/Surg department.

Provide guidance and support to staff in clinical decision-making and problem-solving.

Maintain compliance with regulatory requirements and accreditation standards.

Job Requirements:

Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice.

Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in medical surgical nursing, with at least 2 years in a leadership or management role.

Current BLS certification.

Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills.

Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.

Ability to effectively manage and prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Knowledge of current trends and best practices in medical surgical nursing and healthcare management.
