Opportunity to provide career growth DEPARTMENT DESCRIPTION Comprehensive evaluations and compassionate careLed by an experienced, integrative team, the Harborview Abuse and Trauma Center offers a wide range of services, including:Medical/forensic services24/7 availability of care for sexual assault through the Harborview ED as well as 24/7 access to medical forensic consultation on sexual assault and child abuse.Scheduled non-acute child sexual abuse exams and ED follow up appointments in our clinic.Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner (SANE) program where patients can receive expert medical forensic and psychosocial care at the UW Medicine location of choice.Therapy servicesPsychosocial treatments are available for children, families and adults affected by child maltreatment, sexual assault, crime and other traumas. Treatments can be brief, educational and supportive interventions or may involve a course of evidence-based therapy. Treatment is tailored to the needs of the patient and family. The evidence-based therapies that are available include trauma-specific cognitive behavioral therapies (CBT), CBT for children with sexual behavior problems, and behavior management therapy including specific models to reduce risk of violence or abuse.Expert counselors are available to provide brief case consultation to the public and professionals on sexual assault, child maltreatment and trauma.Foster Care Assessment Program (FCAP)FCAP provides comprehensive evaluations for foster children to identify barriers to reunification or adoption so that foster children do not languish. The evaluation addresses emotional and behavior problems in children, psychiatric and substance abuse concerns in parents, parenting needs, and child educational and functioning status. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
Providing staff, providers, and patients with an efficient system of internal and external communications, including phone answering and call triaging
Scheduling provider and ancillary service appointments
Obtaining patient demographic, financial, and clinical information
Partnering with all members of the clinic team to prioritize patient satisfaction and exceptional care delivery
Other Duties as Requested REQUIRED POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
High school graduation or equivalent AND
One year of healthcare, administrative, or customer service experience OR
