Come work on the Amazon Robotics – Mechatronics & Sustainable Packaging (MSP) Team! We are looking for an outstanding Quality Management System (QMS) Implementation Lead, who will be responsible for implementing the MSP Quality Management System specifications. This leader will partner with (1) the internal Customers (Operations, Maintenance, Process, Ops Engineering, etc.) to ensure the QMS implementation will meet their needs, (2) the Quality Assurance (QA) Execution team to ensure alignment and consistency of the manual, virtual and process validation with the QMS specifications and (3) the QMS Design Manager to ensure the QMS implementation will adhere with specifications and will include all the relevant procedures and instructions. The primary role of the MSP team is to drive future innovation across all aspects of Mechatronics and Packaging, across industrial hardware/control machines such as robotic cells, autonomous vehicles, sortation, packing technologies and packaging materials. We drive strategic partnerships with key stakeholders such as Operations, RME, ACES, Supply Chain, Transportation, WW Design, etc. to ensure we deliver robust products that effectively integrate into the Amazon Fulfillment network. The QMS Implementation Lead will be responsible to implement the MSP QMS and oversee its update and maintenance over time, and to ensure communication and coordination with operational leaders by fostering a culture of quality operational excellence. A successful candidate will have strong analytical skills combined with business understanding, broad experience and exposure across multiple stake-holders and deep skills in quality management processes and standards and complex systems integration and validation, which include a high degree of ambiguity. They will work successfully across multiple large engineering, testing and operations teams at a strategic level and drive quality across all our Products. This candidate requires strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, collaboration, analytical and abstract thinking, time management and organizational skills.Key job responsibilitiesOwn MSP QMS implementation, by ensuring fulfilment of internal customer’s expectations (Operations, RME, ACES, PE, OpsEng, WWDE, etc.) and consistency with the QMS specifications defined by QMS Design Manager. Analyze and perform periodic audits on QMS process implementation. Support QMS Design Manager in gathering all the relevant specifications in line with internal policies and applicable quality and design standards. Cooperate with MSP Safety and Compliance Team to ensure consistency of QMS implementation with Safety Management System. Manage QMS implementation scope, budget, schedule, issues, risk, communication and other elements as needed. Implement suitable quality metrics for MSP products. Support the adherence of product testing and validation to the QMS processes and procedures. Ensure MSP QMS implementation will comply with federal, state, local, and organizational laws, regulations, guidelines, and policies.We are open to hiring candidates to work out of one of the following locations:Bellevue, WA, USA | Boston, MA, USA | Seattle, WA, USABasic Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree (BS)

4+ years proven experience in QMS implementation for advanced robotics, automotive or mechatronic products.

Theoretical and hands-on experience on quality auditing, evaluation and quality management system design in accordance with international standards and best practices (e.g., ISO 9001).

Ability to travel up to 75% to business locations and project sites.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with complex automated material handling equipment, packaging technologies, and systems including robotics, and high speed manufacturing.

Strong communication skills to coordinate with team members, operations, and management.

Proven experience in fulfillment systems with storage equipment, material handling systems, automated sortation system, and related automation equipment.

Knowledge of NRTL and/or CE compliance standards and regulations, auditing and assessment processes, including the definition and execution of quality and safety related checklists for product, factory and operational process inspection (e.g., CIG 023).

Strong analytical, testing and problem-solving skills.

Proven experience using quality management tools (e.g., Siemens TeamCenter Quality, Polarion etc.) and data-management software to implement Quality Management Systems based on specifications.

Project management skills to plan, execute and complete tasks successfully.

ISO 9001 Lead Auditor and/or Six Sigma Green/Black Belt certification.

The base pay for this position ranges from $91,200/year in our lowest geographic market up to $185,000/year in our highest geographic market.
