We are part of CommonSpirit Health which operates 137 hospitals and more than 1,000 care sites across 21 states making our services accessible to nearly 1 in 4 U.S. residents.Our Emergency Department is designated and certified as a Primary Stroke Center. Along with our outstanding cardiac care services, our patients have shorter wait times than both the national average and WA State average (according to "medicare data. We have 22 ED beds and see an average of 80 patients per day.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care for patients of all ages with a variety of medical and traumatic injuries.

Perform rapid and accurate assessments, including vital signs, physical examinations, and interpretation of diagnostic tests.

Initiate and administer emergency treatments and medications as ordered by physicians.

Provide advanced cardiac life support (ACLS), basic life support (BLS), and other advanced life support interventions as needed.

Manage and prioritize multiple patients simultaneously in a high-stress environment.

Effectively communicate with patients, families, physicians, and other members of the healthcare team.

Maintain accurate and complete patient records, including charting, documentation, and reporting.

Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care transitions.

Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to a positive work environment.

Adhere to all hospital policies and procedures, including infection control and safety protocols.

Demonstrate proficiency in the use of electronic health records (EHR) and other medical equipment.

Respond effectively to emergency situations and code blue events.

Triage patients based on acuity and prioritize care accordingly.

Administer intravenous fluids, medications, and blood products as ordered.

Perform wound care, dressing changes, and other procedures as needed.

Educate patients and families about their condition, treatment plan, and discharge instructions.

Participate in continuing education and professional development activities.

Maintain current knowledge of emergency nursing practices and advancements.

QualificationsWe require:Licensure: Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in Washington State.Graduation from an accredited school of nursing approved by the Washington State Board of Nursing.Experience: Previous experience in an emergency department setting is preferred.Certifications: Current BLS (Basic Life Support), ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support), and [Other required certifications, e.g., PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support), TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course)].CPR certification is required every two years or as specified by the work. Location: Seattle, Washington U.S. Citizenship Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: Bachelor\'s Degree in Industrial Hygiene, Industrial Health and Safety, Science, Engineering, or related field. Requires minimum of five (5) years of Industrial Hygiene experience. 10+ years of experience in environmental and/or geotechnical sampling, and/or removal oversight. Oil and hazardous materials emergency response experience is a plus. Experience providing health and safety training, preparation and review of health and safety plans, conducting safety audits and managing projects. Experience providing safety oversight and audits on field projects including releases of hazardous substances and oil; emergency, disaster and WMD response; and removal and remedial projects. Ability to plan, lead, and participate in site walks, site evaluations, removal assessments, and removal action oversight projects, including oil, and hazardous materials emergency response projects. Demonstrable experience in bio-safety, radioactive materials management, field sampling and analysis, decontamination and/or mitigation methods, emergency preparedness, radiation dose assessment and management, and/or toxicology. Demonstrable expertise and experience with OSHA, National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH) and the American Conference of Governmental Industrial Hygienists (ACGIH) regulations and sampling techniques. Experience performing site assessments and collecting multimedia samples. Experience in analytical method selection and data management and interpretation. Exposure to various technical and scientific procedures Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
