If you share our passion for creating an airline people love, we want to hear from you.Role SummaryThe Senior Quality Assurance Auditor functions as a subject matter expert within the Quality Assurance team. As an individual contributor, this role exercises considerable judgment in developing and overseeing audit programs as well as performing complex audits at Alaska Airlines (AS).Key Duties

As a subject matter expert, partner with the Manager, Quality Assurance to develop and oversee audit programs.

With minimal direction from leadership, exercise considerable judgement to conduct complex reviews, investigations, and a variety of audits to facilitate improvement in processes that support M&E operations.

Collaborate with auditees in an effective manner working with all levels of M&E leadership and other maintenance providers to collect compliance data to help support their process improvements.

Conduct follow-up checks, monitors development and verify implementation and effectiveness of corrective actions.

Review root cause analysis to identify process level breakdowns.

Understand business processes and key controls to mitigate operational and safety risks.

Utilize Safety Management System (SMS) in the daily work habits and remain current in the training requirements for SMS.

Assist Manager in mentoring and developing peer auditors.

Lead and assist with ad hoc departmental/administrative and project-based initiatives.

Job-Specific Experience, Education & SkillsRequired:

4 years of airline industry auditing and quality assurance experience or related operational industry experience.

Bachelor degree or an additional two years of training and/or experience in operational industry in lieu of this degree.

Thorough understanding of airline safety and operating standards, as well as a thorough understanding of M&E operations.

Strong ability to problem solving, planning, organizational, and analytical skills.

Strong ability to balance and effectively manage multiple project/demands.

Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, and Excel).

Frequent travel is required, including international travel.

A valid passport at the time of employment.

High school diploma or equivalent.

Minimum age of 18.

Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
