DescriptionAmazon Web Services (AWS) is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to be a key member of the AWS GenAI team. This role will own end to end finance support including P&L management and planning for Generative AI services. Additionally, this role will drive strategic new Generative AI feature launches and process improvements across the organization. The successful candidate will be able to communicate effectively, manage multiple and time sensitive deliverables across a highly matrixed organization, along with managing risks and opportunities. The individual will also possess strong business partnership skills and collaborate effectively with key stakeholders.Key job responsibilities

Take the lead in financial planning; build complex financial models and analytical tools to measure overall financial performance

Owning the GenAI services end to end, and influence business decisions that drive revenue and/or capital expenditures

Support strategic new GenAI features launch and ad-hoc requests and assist in various requests from finance and business leadership.

Identify opportunities for efficiency improvements including automation and coordination with upstream and downstream organizations.

Partner with finance teams across AWS to standardize, streamline, and prioritize improvements, remove roadblocks, and increase the reliability and efficiency of reporting.

3+ years of tax, finance or a related analytical field experience

Bachelor's degree in engineering, statistics or business, or Bachelor's degree and 3+ years of quantitative role (engineering, process re-engineering, quality assurance) experience

Preferred Qualifications

4+ years of participating in continuous improvement projects in your team to scale and improve controllership with measurable results experience

MBA, or CPA

Experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (examples: SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos) and other financial systems (examples: Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards)

4+ years of identifying, leading, and executing opportunities to improve, automate, standardize or simplify finance or business tools and processes experience

4+ years of creating process improvements with automation and analysis experience

4+ years of applying key financial performance indicators (KPIs) to analyses experience

The base pay for this position ranges from $56,900/year in our lowest geographic market up to $128,800/year in our highest geographic market. Basic understanding of liquid rocket engine systems, manufacturing, and production are important. Develop production structural analysis methodology and process improvements to streamline post-development support efforts such allowable damage, acceptance criteria, and structural repair manuals. Work closely with related engineering disciplines (development structural analysis, manufacturing, design, test, quality) and technicians to help diagnose discrepancies, provide engineering dispositions, and identify corrective actions. Minimum Qualifications: Minimum of a B.S. degree in mechanical, aerospace, or related engineering discipline 2+ years of structural analysis of pressurized components or similar high-performance hardware such as those used in launch vehicles, aircraft, gas turbine, or by the nuclear industry. Experience performing static and fatigue analysis utilizing both classical and/or FEM methodology. Ability to communicate technical information effectively. Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum. Preferred Qualifications: Experience providing structural analysis in support of production, test, or fleet service to include repair/refurbishment.
