Our Surgical Technologists enjoy working in a technological, fast-paced, and exciting department. The Surgical Technologist will utilize knowledge of operations of individual pieces of equipment and skillfully maintain instruments and supplies to meet the demands of the department. The Surgeons in the Harborview Operating Room are world-renowned, with clients from all over the country. This department uses many tools that are technologically advanced, and they are on the cutting edge for many types of procedures.The teamwork among our employees makes the department an enjoyable and exciting place to work. Inherent to success in this position is organization, desire to work in a team-oriented academic medical setting, capability to stay abreast of current developments relevant to the position, strong interpersonal and communication skills, and knowledge of the duties of a Surgical Technologist.PRIMARY SURGICAL TECHNOLOGIST RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE: Take the lead in the patient care experience by prepping and maintaining our Operating Rooms for surgical procedures

Collaborate with a variety of stakeholders and partners, from our scheduling team to surgeons

Work in a dynamic, fast-paced, problem-solving environment while maintaining vigilance of instruments and supplies used during surgical procedures

Perform scrub role while supporting patient safety a sterile environment

Support of post-operative tasks, including removal of contaminated instruments, decontamination, sterilization and turnover of the Operating RoomWHAT WE REQUIRE:

Completion of a Surgical Technologist program AND one year of experience assisting clinical staff in a variety of operative procedures in an operating room environment OR equivalent education/experience.LEGAL REQUIREMENT:

Registered by the State of Washington as a Surgical Technologist, or licensed in the State of Washington as a Licensed Practical Nurse, Registered Nurse or Physician.WHAT WE OFFER:

Along with competitive pay and benefits, we offer the following shift differentials for our Surgical Technologist staff:

Evening Shift: $2.00/hour

Night Shift: $2.75/hour
