Looking for a saute cook experienced in making pasta and risottos. Up until now we have only done wood-fired pizzas and cold appetizers, so this is a new position at our new induction saute station. So far it has only been 5-14 orders in a night, which means more time may be spent helping with prep, pantry (salads and assembling cold appetizers) and dishwashing at first. All kitchen staff helps wash dishes. We are a small family owned and run wood-fired pizza restaurant on Vashon Island. Because it is so small, everyone helps everyone and does a lot of jobs but it is a fun environment that is usually relaxed but we all work our butts off when we get a rush. Most important thing is a good attitude, ability and willingness to see what needs to be done and do it. It sounds dumb, but we like to have fun. Yes, it’s work, but we like to make the best of it and enjoy ourselves while doing it.
