Position Overview

The Head Chef will oversee all aspects of kitchen operations, including menu development, food preparation, quality control, staff supervision, and kitchen management. This role requires a hands-on leader who can inspire the team, maintain high culinary standards, and run an efficient and collaborative kitchen.

Key Responsibilities

Lead and manage the kitchen staff, including scheduling, training, and performance oversight.

Develop and execute menus that align with Gan Bei’s vision and customer expectations.

Ensure all dishes are prepared with consistency, quality, and presentation standards.

Manage food inventory, purchasing, and cost controls to achieve profitability goals.

Uphold health, safety, and sanitation standards in compliance with local regulations.

Foster a positive, professional, and team-oriented kitchen culture.

Collaborate with restaurant management on seasonal specials, events, and promotions.

Innovate while respecting the flavors and traditions of Chinatown’s culinary heritage.

Qualifications

Proven experience as a Head Chef, Executive Chef, or Kitchen Manager.

Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team.

Deep knowledge of kitchen operations, food safety, and inventory management.

Creativity in menu design with a passion for quality ingredients and authentic flavors.

Excellent organizational, time management, and communication skills.
