Job Description:
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Part-Time Cook to join our team at The Siren Tavern. As a cook in our establishment, you will play a vital role in ensuring the quality and consistency of our food offerings. The ideal candidate will have a passion for cooking, a strong work ethic, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
Prepare and cook menu items in accordance with established recipes and standards, including advanced food prep and restocking.
Ensure food quality by adhering to proper cooking techniques and sanitation standards.
Maintain a clean and organized kitchen.
Assist with inventory management and ordering supplies as needed.
Collaborate with management to develop new menu items and specials.
Follow all safety and hygiene procedures, including proper food handling and storage.
Requirements:
Previous experience working as a cook or in a similar role preferred.
Knowledge of cooking techniques and food safety standards.
Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
Strong communication and teamwork skills.
Attention to detail and the ability to work efficiently under pressure.
Food handler's permit or willingness to obtain one.
