Live-In Caregiver
About us:
Due to the nature of this position, this job is ONLY open to female applicants.
We are a family looking to find a full-time live-in caregiver for our semi independent developmentally delayed daughter in her 30's. You will live in the home as your full time residence 7 days a week. You will have a separate private entry residence in the lower floor of the house.
Time off 4-5 hours everyday Mon-Fri,
Time off- alternating 3 day weekends
Time off- 2 full weeks paid
Time off- 9 paid holidays.
Job Description
A unique opportunity for a live-in-caregiver in a wonderful, well-kept family owned home in the Wedgwood neighborhood of Seattle Washington. The house is located within easy walking distance to many shops, restaurants, transit stops, and other amenities. You will initially be providing care for one moderate to high functioning developmentally disabled young woman. One additional female resident will be added at a later date. The live-in Caregiver will work collaboratively with Residents/Guardians to provide a safe and caring home environment. This role will require you to live onsite in the home.
The Caregiver will receive room/board, salary and health insurance and paid time off.

Responsibilities:
Provide appropriate support for all aspects of the Residents’ activities of daily living
Plan, purchase and prepare nutritious, fresh meals and snacks
Ensure shared living spaces are kept clean
Listen and assist with problem solving.
Facilitate participation in community activities
Assist with transportation
Assist with schedules and routines
Assist with medications
Assist with decision making
Monitor hygiene
Able to problem solve, negotiate, and troubleshoot with clients and family members in a mature/respectful way

Requirements:
Home Care Aide (HCA), Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), or Nursing (LPN/RN) OR
75-hour training for Home Care Aide Certification
Current CPR/first aid and blood borne pathogens class
Maintain HCA Certification with 12 hours of continuing education per year
Applicants must show proof of up-to-date COVID vaccination
Must be able to speak, read, and write English competently.
High school or equivalent (Required)
Caregiving: 1 year (Required)

Income/Benefits:
Beginning salary $3,500.00 per month, increasing to $4,000.00 with the addition of second resident. Salary increases with longevity.
Housing package which includes rent, utilities, high speed internet, and other housing related expenses
Full Health Insurance provided through SAILS of Washington
Time Off- 20 hrs (4 hrs daily Monday-Friday)
Time Off- Every other weekend (beginning Friday afternoon-Monday morning)
Time Off -2 weeks paid
Time Off- 9 paid holidays

All residents will be vaccinated and the caregiver will be required to maintain a valid COVID vaccination.
