My family is looking for a live in caregiver for my parents who are in their 70's. This is a "light duty" position that consists mostly of light cleaning, shopping, transportation to doctors' appointments, changing kitty litter, meal prep, companionship and loading their medication dispensing system every 9 days. On average this will consist of 3-4 hours daily - split into 1.5-2 hours in the morning and then again around dinner time. My mother is ambulatory but spends much of her time in bed due to her health conditions. My father is forgetful with very early dementia well controlled at this time with medication. This is a perfect position for a healthy energetic retiree or a college student with a somewhat flexible schedule.
You will have access to the Mother In Law apartment downstairs with a separate entrance at no charge. The home is in a quiet, safe and well established neighborhood. All utilities and wifi are included as is access to a car. The unit is a single occupancy unit with a small one bedroom 1 bath with a fireplace and is furnished. We are happy to remove the furniture if you would prefer to bring your own. Small pets are allowed on a case by case basis. A modest weekly cash stipend is offered.
