Job Summary:
The Manager for Adult Family Homes is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the home, ensuring the well-being and safety of residents, managing staff, and implementing marketing strategies to promote the home and attract new residents. This role involves coordinating care, maintaining compliance with state regulations, fostering a supportive environment for both residents and staff, and enhancing the home's visibility and reputation in the community.
Key Responsibilities:
Resident Care and Support:
Act as a liaison, advocate, and coordinator for resident involvement in support groups, vocational programming, and community activities.
Oversee all resident medical, medication, and health issues, ensuring proper communication with staff, families, and healthcare providers.
Implement and follow up on all support services recommendations.
Staff Supervision and Training:
Monitor staff performance, including evaluations, developmental plans, and disciplinary actions.
Arrange and schedule training for all program staff.
Supervise staff training and development, acting as a role model and guiding staff on appropriate interactions with residents and families.
Operations Management:
Coordinate all aspects of program financial procedures, including monitoring utility use and ensuring proper expenditure of funds.
Ensure maintenance of licensing standards and compliance with state regulations.
Manage staffing schedules and respond to program needs, including covering open shifts when necessary.
Communication and Coordination:
Foster open and supportive communication with residents, families, and community organizations.
Attend and coordinate resident-related meetings, ensuring all necessary follow-up is completed.
Participate in special projects and committees as needed.
Marketing and Outreach:
Develop and implement marketing strategies to promote the home and attract new residents.
Create marketing materials, such as brochures, newsletters, and social media content.
Organize and participate in community events, health fairs, and other outreach activities.
Build and maintain relationships with referral sources, including healthcare providers and community organizations.
Administrative Duties:
Ensure completion and submission of all required reports and paperwork.
Maintain an organized filing system for resident and staff records.
Review and update policies and procedures as necessary.
Qualifications:
Minimum of 3 years of experience in a supervisory role within a residential care setting.
Experience in marketing and outreach, with a proven track record of successful campaigns.
Strong communication, organizational, and leadership skills.
Knowledge of state regulations and licensing requirements for adult family homes.
Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with professionalism.
