Job Title: Private Duty RN (no lifting or toileting required)
$45-70/hour depending on experience, independent contract, compatible with other full time employment, flexible on call schedule, Capitol Hill neighborhood.
PATIENT
Sarah is an active, independently mobile, 38 year old woman with chronic, progressive autonomic neuropathy and hyperadrenergic features. She is looking for an on-call RN able to support her through convulsive episodes and physical discomfort related to her chronic illness in her home.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Medical
Partner with Sarah to implement care plan for high symptom time periods
Fall prevention during semi-conscious state
Administer IV medication via central line using care plan protocol
Supportive
Compassionate presence during difficult constellation of symptoms
Interest in on call, part time, long term employment
QUALIFICATIONS
Registered nurse with a valid license in the state of Washington
Independent thinker with strong patient partnership skills
Sense of humor
Preferred background in Neurology
Previous experience with central line sterile technique
