At Slumber Ease Mattress Factory, we source high quality materials, using a combination of traditional methods and advanced technologies for your home, boat or RV mattresses. We have been manufacturing our custom mattresses with expertise in Marysville, Washington since 1962.
We are looking for the right candidate to fill a MAINTENANCE PERSON / DELIVERY DRIVER position.
About the position
Must have basic working knowledge of maintenance level electrical, plumbing, carpentry
Must be able to lift heavy, large objects like mattresses, box springs, and heavy quilt rolls
Weekly tasks include exterior yard maintenance, light exterior building repairs, clearing out shop areas, doing dump runs, recycling runs, cleaning the showroom, building pallets, and delivering mattresses
Position is also a support team member for factory services, training for skills required in factory production will be provided
Great training opportunity for learning industrial mattress and sewing production skills
M/W/F work week and potential for more, the shifts are 8am-4:30pm
On the job training
Setting up display booths at Annual Boat Shows and special events
Position operates under the direction of the Production Coordinator and/or General Manager
Employee duties when on deliveries:
Will need to be able to efficiently navigate from factory to one or more delivery locations
Previous Delivery Driver experience is helpful but not required
Must be able to operate Box Van proficiently while maintaining professionalism on the road
Knowledge of local delivery areas a plus
Position will train to use company mobile device for delivery service
Driver delivery training includes the proper set up of mattress systems
Essential requirements
HEAVY LIFTING A MUST, loading and unloading delivery trucks, moving quilt rolls
Must have current WA State Drivers License
Must have clean driving record and strong English communication skills
Must be legally authorized to work in the US
Upon hiring applicant must pass a background check
Able to work 24-40 hours a week
Must be able to drive box van proficiently while maintaining professionalism on the road
Minimum HS diploma or equivalent
