Dusty Strings is seeking a Shipping Specialist to process daily shipments, aggregate larger international shipments, and ensure our instruments are packed and shipped safely and securely. Additionally, this role will contribute to production through a range of tasks, including learning to make harp strings. This is not your average warehouse job. As a small company building high-quality harps and hammered dulcimers, all our staff play a variety of roles, each important to the whole process. Our shipper works alongside the technicians who handle the final stages of instrument construction and manages an assortment of tasks that are integral to the overall process.

Core Responsibilities:Process daily shipments based on printouts from our office. This includes picking product, packing according to specifications, and using computer software to get the order where it needs to go.Aggregate larger international shipments over multiple days.Assist in basic production work, including making harp strings and packaging accessories, to support overall production needs.Attend daily office huddles and collaborate with folks as neededScheduled work hours of Monday through Friday, 8:30am to 5pm Qualifications:Good communicatorExcellent with detailsThrives in a self-directed work environment and knows when to ask for inputHas an aptitude for using both computers and physical toolsCan regularly maneuver 50 pound items"Nice to haves", but certainly not required:Prior experience using shipping software such as PirateShip or UPS WorldshipPrior experience in a production environmentPrior experience using hand power tools such as a cordless drillMusical background
