Puget Sound Educational Service District seeks a Program Coordinator (administrative assistant) to assist with managing and implementing the centralized Early Head Start Eligibility, Recruitment, Selection, Enrollment, Attendance (ERSEA) system and coordinating and implementing group socialization and parent leadership. The Program Coordinator will work in collaboration with the Senior Coordinator - ERSEA and Senior Coordinator - Family Engagement to support 20 Home Visitors serving 200 families at multiple sites in our Early Head Start Home-Based program in Pierce County.
Early Head Start Home-Based provides high quality, comprehensive support services in the home environment to pregnant participants, infants, toddlers, and their families; including support to assist parents in meeting the needs of their children and enhancing parents’ role as the primary influence in their child’s education and development.
Minimum Qualifications
AA Degree or higher in ECE, or coursework in Early Childhood Education
Experience as a home visitor and or ECE teacher and/or group socialization lead with children birth to 5 years
Preferred Qualifications
Experience working with pregnant families and/or families with children birth to 3 years
Experience working with low-income families
Bilingual ability in Spanish and/or experience working with interpreters
Experience with Head Start/Early Head Start/ECEAP
While some remote work may be possible, this position is located primarily in Pierce County. Any remote work must be completed within Washington State.
