Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Assistant Store Manager to lead our landscaping supply store in Burien. This is a full-time position that involves managing daily operations, overseeing deliveries (including concrete), and ensuring top-notch customer service. The Assistant Store Manager will also be responsible for supervising staff and maintaining the store’s overall efficiency and success.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage daily store operations and staff, ensuring the store meets sales and customer service goals
Oversee deliveries, including landscaping materials and concrete, ensuring timely and accurate delivery to customers
Maintain inventory control, order products as needed, and coordinate with suppliers
Handle scheduling, staff training, and performance evaluations
Ensure the store’s appearance, product displays, and stock levels are up to standard
Assist in budgeting and financial reporting using Microsoft Excel
Maintain strong relationships with customers and address their inquiries and needs effectively
Requirements:
Must have a valid driver’s license
Must speak fluent English
Must have weekend availability (store hours are 8:00 AM - 6:00 PM)
Proficient with computers, including Microsoft Excel
Previous management experience in retail or a similar environment
Experience or knowledge in the landscaping industry is a plus
Strong leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills
