Melissa Data is seeking a Senior GIS Analyst to take the reins for this growing part of our business and product offering in our Lynnwood, WA location.
The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and maintaining a variety of software projects related to GIS database systems and spatial data. Primary focus will be on developing GIS storage systems, combining spatial data across various sources, and creating new, novel methods to consume the data. The position could grow to a leadership role with the expansion of this portion of the business.
Requirements for this position include:
BS degree in computer science, software engineering, or closely related field.
3+ years of experience in GIS systems and related knowledge.
Proficiency with GIS software.
Team player with good communication, interpersonal and organizational skills.
Knowledge of SQL Server, QGIS, Arc Desktop is a must.
Fluent in GeoJSON, WKT, KML
Work in data parsing, GIS processing.
Knowledge of scripting languages such as Bash, Python, PowerShell, etc.
