Helpdesk Technician

EXP Technical provides custom IT solutions and support to small and medium sized business in the Greater Seattle Area. We can provide a completely outsourced IT department or augment our clients’ existing IT team.

We are seeking a Helpdesk Technician to work in a hybrid role:

Regular on-site presence for client support (2-3 days p/week)

Remote work as part of our Support Desk team serving multiple clients.

This is a Tier 1 position. It will provide the successful candidate with a great opportunity to enter the field of IT or further their IT experience in an environment where they will have access to a team of 25 IT professionals providing to support to hundreds of small and medium sized businesses in the Puget Sound region.

Onsite Responsibilities:

Respond to requests for technical assistance in person, via phone, and electronically.

Diagnose and resolve technical hardware and software issues.

Deploy new computers and move existing computers to accommodate staff relocations around the office.

Support staff in their use of conference room audio visual equipment.

Advise users on appropriate action and direct unresolved issues to the next level of support personnel.

Follow standard helpdesk procedures and log all helpdesk interactions.

Administer helpdesk software and track and route problems and requests.

Inform management of recurring problems and patterns of issues.

Remote Support Responsibilities

Perform remote server maintenance health checks and test restores.

Triage, remediate/escalate alerts generated by our remote monitoring and management system.

Triage, remediate/escalate tickets sent in by clients.

Answer and resolve inbound support calls.

Technical Skills

Ability to troubleshoot and repair computer hardware.

Working knowledge of Windows 10/11

Working knowledge of Microsoft 365 and Microsoft Office Applications including Teams

Knowledge of applications used in the Architecture industry is a bonus.

Education:

Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or relevant field preferred.

Other requirements

Must be a Permanent Resident or US Citizen.

Must be able to move, stand, crouch, stoop, crawl and work with constant manual dexterity anywhere a client’s computer, server, etc. might be located.

Must be able to lift heavy computer equipment

Must be able to pass a Background Check.
