Troubleshoot and repairs on class 5 through class 8 trucks.
Diagnose and repair air and hydraulic brakes, suspensions, and steering.
Utilize diagnostic tools including laptops, scanners, and wiring diagrams to diagnose and repair diesel and gasoline engines.
Repair starting and charging systems.
Repair and replace drive train components including automatic and manual transmissions, clutches, drive lines and differentials.
Utilize diagnostic tools to repair air and hydraulic brakes, ABS, and BMS.
Perform quality preventive maintenance inspections and DOT inspections on trucks and trailers.
Perform welding and fabrication with steel, stainless steel, and aluminum.
Perform minor repairs on semi-trailers including repairing panels, roofs, headers, and frame rails. Repair roll-up and swing doors.
Maintain daily work records on all repairs performed both electronically and on paper.
You must have good communication skills and be able to work independently and as a team member.
A minimum of one year of experience as a heavy-duty truck mechanic is required.
A valid driver's license and a good driving record are required.
A CDL is preferred but not required.
Background screen may be required depending on the position.
