Since 2006, Sage and Stone has been excelling in hardscape and garden installations in the Greater Seattle area. Now we are ready to expand to offer regular garden maintenance, ensuring longevity and vitality for the gardens we install.

We are looking for highly-motivated and savvy horticulturists to join our team in the cultivation and care of residential gardens.

Your role involves assessing the environmental conditions, implementing seasonal care strategies, and ensuring the aesthetic appeal and health of the garden. Periodically, you will assist in new plant installations for new or established clients. You will work both independently and on a team.

We apply natural gardening techniques involving all organic fertilizers and IPM strategies. We do not do lawn care. Regular tasks include but not limited to: fine pruning, mulching, weeding, raking, supplemental watering, staking, transplanting, and blowing (electric blowers when possible).

Time management, forethought, and clear communication are important skills applied in our company.

We are flexible to both Full-time and Part -Time applicants. Working Monday-Friday hours variable to the season.

Pay starts at $22 depending on experience with possibility for advancements shortly after.

Qualifications:

One year+ experience in residential horticulture, agriculture, nursery care or general landscape maintenance.

Valid driver's license and reliable vehicle.

Knowledge of basic plant species (including PNW weeds!), soil types, and environmental factors influencing plant growth.

Knowledge of basic and safe pruning techniques.

Master Pruner Certification (Plant Amnesty) preferred.

Ability to perform physical tasks in various weather conditions (rain or shine)

Ability to bend, lift & carry 50 lbs regularly.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for interacting with clients and team members.

Familiarity with Google suite is helpful. Access to smartphone is necessary.

Knowledge in IPM, irrigation systems and edible gardening preferred.

Bachelor's degree in Horticulture, Plant Science, Landscape Architecture, or a related field preferred.
