Kitchen Suppression Systems Technician

Fire Chief Equipment is a certified Ansul/PryroChem, Amerex, and CaptiveAire dealer. We are looking for a full-time, professional, dedicated Kitchen Hood Suppression Systems Technician to join our amazing team. This position will handle inspecting, installing, and repairing of kitchen hood suppression systems.

More specifically, this person will be responsible for, but not limited to:

Performing tests, repairs, inspections, and programming of fixed fire suppression system.

Identifying and repairing system impairments or deficiencies found during routine maintenance.

Perform routine schedule maintenance services.

Completing all services following manufacturer instructions, related codes & standards, and company policies and procedures.

Follow troubleshooting guidelines and refer to technical/ parts manuals, change notices and bulletins, modification notices, etc. in order to diagnose and repair equipment or systems

Providing documentation of inspections for company and customer records, authorities with jurisdiction, and any other entity required.

Communicating discrepancies, necessary system repairs, and any other needed information to provide accurate customer quotes.

Experience:

Our ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of experience as a Kitchen Hood Suppression Systems Technician, valid driver’s license, and clean driving history. This candidate will also have the following attributes, qualities, and beliefs:

Holds Seattle Fire Department endorsements for E-4 Wet/Dry Chemical Kitchen Systems and FEX-1 Portable Fire Extinguishers.

ICC Kitchen Systems or NICET Special Hazards

Proficient computer skills

Manufactures certifications

May require night work

Strong mechanical aptitude with a service mindset.

Believe in the value of, and take action in, completing all elements of the project in the safest and most efficient way possible.

Exercise strong, active listening skills with the ability to effectively communicate technical situations and their solutions to Fire Chief Equipment customers, as well as team members.

Great attention to detail with accuracy in documentation recording.

Dedication to continued growth and development, customer service, and the Fire Chief Equipment Core Values.

Able to carry and move tools and equipment up to 75 lbs with or without reasonable accommodation.

Able to work in unusual and sometimes difficult positions – climbing ladders, scaffolding and high lift equipment up to 20 feet, working within ducts, crawl spaces, above ceilings, etc.

BENIFITS

$30 per hour or more. Compensation depends on experience at the time of interview.

Time and a Half paid when working from 9:00pm-4:00am

On Call -(5 week rotation) $100.00 per Week and 2x (3x holidays) hourly, door to door when called out from home
