Key duties/responsibilities:
Identify and cultivate opportunities with new customers and maintain mutually beneficial relationships with all key valve services customers.
Manage and coordinate the pursuit of in-house and field valve service opportunities.
Lead and/or support each opportunity through the following phases: Project Identification, Pursuit Strategy, Proposal Generation, Execution, Project Completion and Customer Satisfaction Follow-up.
Serve as an outside sales resource and subject matter expert for all valve services, including:
Control, relief, ball, gate, globe, and check valves
Pneumatic, hydraulic, and electric actuators
Instrumentation and accessories, i.e. solenoids, switch boxes, digital positioners, controllers, etc.
Installation, maintenance, and commissioning services
Initiate, assist, and document walk downs to determine job scope, valve data, and valve location.
Communicate to the inside sales team any additional equipment required to perform the requested service engagement.
Comply with customer safety standards including the use of Personal Protective Equipment (respirators, goggles, hearing protection, etc.) when visiting customer facilities.
Understand and comply with generally accepted industry standards, such as ANSI, ASME, API, NBIC and others, as they apply to valve service.
Look for opportunities to provide additional value to customers that also deliver incremental business for Applied Control and Emerson.
