Westwind Organics is a 200+ acre certified organic commercial vegetable farm in the beautiful Snoqualmie Valley, located in NW Washington state. We grow over 30 different types of vegetables with a heavy emphasis on lettuce, broccoli, bunched greens, cabbage, celery, and winter storage crops. This position is responsible for delivering customer orders in good condition while representing Westwind Organics in a positive, professional manner at all times. Deliveries occur in the early morning three to four days a week. Must be able to operate a truck trailer combination. A valid CDL is not required, as agricultural driving is exempt. This is a part-time position with deliveries occurring all year, though it is busier in the summer months. Hours are typically between 20 and 30 hours per week. We encourage retired individuals with experience to apply.
If more hours are desired, other work opportunities are available depending on skills and desire. These work opportunities include heavy equipment operation, assisting the shop manager, and/or general farm hand.
Primary responsibilities:
Loading product using a pallet jack and forklift. Manually down stack product on customer docks when required.
Timely delivery within a 150-mile radius.
Be available for early morning deliveries.
Must be able to lift 50 pounds.
Required skills:
Must have experience driving a truck trailer combination and 24-foot box trucks.
