Together we are empowered to make an even greater impact on the health and well-being of our communities.ResponsibilitiesFranciscan Surgical Associates at St. Michael is seeking a Full Time 1.0 FTE General Surgery Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to join our team in Silverdale Washington. We are a multi-disciplinary General Surgery practice located on the campus of St. Michael Medical Center, a new state of the art hospital with 262 beds.Core components of this position include:
First Assist on laparoscopic, robotic and open (bariatrics, general surgery, and other) procedures
Inpatient hospital rounding and patient management
Consultations, discharges, managing order, patient history, and surgery prep
Schedule is Monday-Friday, with shared call responsibilities among a team of five surgeons and one Physician Assistant. Candidates should have a flexible schedule since some OR cases can start late.
QualificationsRequirements include:
Graduate from a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner program
Candidate must have at least two years current surgical experience as a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner.
Licensed in the state of Washington as a P.A or ARNP by the time of employment
Certified as a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner
DEA, NPI & prescriptive authority
Current BLS for Healthcare Providers certification by the American Heart Association
