Description:Aston Carter is partnering with a local family-owned insurance company to find add a skilled Financial Coordinator to their finance team. This individual will be responsible for for serving the needs of our client businesses in Spokane and throughout the Northwest with their healthcare benefits administration. The duties of this position include but are not limited to the following: Manage numerous financial accounts for multiple clients, including balancing of accounts by reconciliation, preparing financial reports, reviewing claims and expense data, and summarizing financial information for presentation to the boards of trustees Assist client participants/patients with questions regarding their benefit enrollments and eligibility; advises participants on the application process for benefits Perform accounts payable, reviewing payments for accuracy and processing vendor payments by check and ACH transactions; ensuring proper control processes are followed Train multiple departments on tasks as needed, including new procedures for payroll, internal/external application updates, use of client web sites, and write task-specific manuals for training purposes Coordinate annual audits with visiting auditors & related departments within the organization, including information & report preparation, review of compliance of internal procedures, and communicate with legal counsel regarding audit status and results Perform fraud detection & prevention. Review alerts of suspicious bank activity for fraudulent transactions and forgery; work with multiple financial institutions to verify transactions and report fraud Prepare and submits tax filings to agencies for clientsAdditional Skills & Qualifications: Experience in the bookkeeping field Vast accounting knowledge (Accounting degree preferred) Ability to work in a Team Expert level knowledge of MS Office (Outlook, Excel, Word) Sage software experience Traits of being self-motivated, having great attention to detail and be driven for extreme accuracy Ability to multi-task various projects while focusing on specific client details Excellent communication skills Holds themselves to a high level of integrityAbout Aston Carter: Aston Carter provides world-class corporate talent solutions to thousands of clients across the globe.
