Senior Bookkeeper / Accounts Receivable Specialist

Description Our well-established client in the energy industry is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Senior level Bookkeeper to join our team. This role is integral to ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and compliance of our revenue accounting processes.Responsibilities:Revenue Recognition:

Ensure accurate revenue recognition in compliance with accounting standards and policies.

Collaborate with teams to address challenges related to contracts and billing terms.

Update processes according to regulatory changes and best practices.

Financial Reconciliation:

Reconcile revenue data with sales records, invoices, and bank statements.

Investigate and resolve discrepancies in revenue transactions.

Maintain detailed reconciliation records.

Financial Reporting:

Assist in preparing financial statements focusing on revenue data.

Generate revenue reports for management and stakeholders.

Collaborate on revenue-related budgets and forecasts.

Process Improvement:

Identify and implement process improvements in revenue accounting.

Enhance efficiency, accuracy, and internal controls.

Participate in system enhancements and automation initiatives.

Compliance and Auditing:

Ensure compliance with accounting principles and regulations.

Support external auditors during financial audits.

Stay updated on accounting standards and provide compliance recommendations.

SALARY RANGE: $60,000 - $75,000BENEFITS OFFERED:

Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is a plus

A minimum of 3+ years of experience in revenue accounting or a related role.

Strong knowledge of revenue recognition principles and GAAP

Proficiency in financial and accounting software, and Microsoft Excel.

Exceptional attention to detail, analytical skills, and problem-solving abilities.

Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively interact with internal teams and external stakeholders.
