RÜT Bar & Kitchen is now hiring for a Full time LINE COOK and BARTENDER/SERVER.

Position: Line Cook

Employment type: 28-38 hrs per week

Compensation: Hourly wage + Tip Pool, Shift Meal & Drink, Paid Sick Days. (Hourly wage is based on experience)

Experience: Minimum 2 yrs kitchen experience preferred.

Position: Bartender/Server

Employment type: 18-30hrs per week (3-4 shifts)

Compensation: Minimum wage + Tip Pool, 50% off Food/Drink, Paid Sick Days

Experience: Experience with Scratch Cocktail builds, knowledge of classic cocktails, dilution methods and building multiple drinks at once while maintaining a table service section.

Able to move between tasks with grace.

Attention to detail and cleanliness; ability to stay organized.

Licenses or Certificates:

WA food handlers permit.

MAST

Education:

Any combination of education and experience equivalent that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities. High school education is preferred.

We are a Modern American Gastropub on the South Hill. We are open for lunch and dinner. Our menu is entirely plant-based (100% vegan) and our bar specializes in craft cocktails. We are family-owned and operated!

You do not need to be vegan to work here, but you should understand the food movement a bit and be supportive of our mission, which prioritizes the health of the planet as well as its living things. Although a lot of our clientele will likely be familiar with a plant-based diet and might identify as vegan or vegetarian, it is very important to us for people who are new to the idea and maybe just want to cut back on meat (or even people who were not expecting our menu to be vegan) to also feel welcome.
