Looking to hire a full-time Farrowing House person. The Farrowing House responsibilities include animal husbandry (breeding management, birthing assistance, piglet feeding, minor medical care and animal assessment). Also, the job responsibilities include cleaning and sanitation of facilities, feeding and caring for animals, and assisting moving animals between buildings weekly. Learn basic operations of other barns to help with chores as needed. There are weekend chores every 5th weekend. May help weight, sort and load pigs for market or private pick up.
Experience with animals and farming is preferred but not essential. All necessary training will be provided on the job. Attention to detail is essential for ensuring the safety of our product and the health of the animals. Must be at least 18 years of age, have a valid driver's license and have reliable transportation. Must be able to lift 50 lbs. Be able to work well with animals and as a team.
Pig Ranch is in Idaho, and located approximately 5 miles south of Farmington, WA or 25 miles northwest of Moscow, ID.
