General Description and Responsibility
Western States Metal Roofing a leading manufacture in metal roofing and siding is looking for several qualified individuals to Setup and Operate Manufacturing machines in our Phoenix, AZ location. Looking for Trim flashing machine operators for folders and shears. Standing Seam Machine operators. Coil Processing operator to level flats and slit coils. Accusers processing with heavy gauge materials. Must have prior experience manufacturing metal roofing and siding. Some daily functions, make adjustments to the machines as needed, control material feed and path for bending and processing, as well as make sure the machine is set up properly, working well, and producing quality product. Make sure machine is working at full capacity, well-maintained and perform periodic checks on output. Examine the finished product to ensure it is dimensionally correct, defect-free and ready for the next step in production.
Qualifications and Requirements
Previous Manufacturing Experience with Metal Roofing and Siding.
Experience with setup, calibration, and operation of press brakes/Folders is preferred.
Experience with Standing Seam machines and operations to roll-form metal panels.
Experience with Level and slitting lines for processing coils per customers request.
Ability to read custom drawings, interpret, and work with-in tolerances set forth, specifications, and/or instructions to form parts per customer requirements.
Must have a working knowledge of general sheet metal, colors and gauges.
Maintain equipment and work area in a clean and orderly condition.
Must be able to inspect formed parts for accuracy to specifications.
Must have basic computer skills.
Ability to work and effectively communicate with production management.
Strong problem solving skills
Ability to work in a fast paced environment in an effective, safe manner
Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals.
Must be able to stand for long periods of time, work in a non climate-controlled environment, and lift up to 70 + pounds.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.00 - $28.00 per hour
