The School of Education within the College of Applied Human Sciences at West Virginia University invites applications for Part-Time Adjunct Faculty positions to teach undergraduate and/or graduate courses in instructional design and technology, elementary and secondary teacher education, curriculum & instruction, literacy education, special education, early childhood education, educational psychology, and higher education in Spring 2024, Summer 2024 and Fall 2024 semesters.Qualifications

These positions require a master's or doctoral degree in Education, Curriculum & Instruction, Special Education, Social and Cultural Foundation of Education, Instructional Design and Technology, Educational Psychology, Higher Education, Literacy Education or a closely related discipline and evidence of ability to teach effectively. Individuals with a doctoral degree are eligible to teach graduate or undergraduate courses; individuals with only a master's degree are eligible to teach undergraduate courses.

Applications will be accepted throughout the year and will be considered as openings arise. Salary is established on a per-course basis. While these positions are not anticipated to be benefits-eligible, individual positions may become benefits-eligible based on course load - which may vary depending on departmental need.

Wellness programs What you\'ll do: Plan, implement and coordinate programming that includes, but is not limited to, recruitment, new student orientation, academic academies, multi-year retention initiatives and academic support services. Assist senior leadership in collecting and analyzing enrollment data for the purpose increasing retention, persistence and completion. Collaborate with recruitment staff by supporting initiatives to increase yield of first time admits to deposits. Coordinate with career services center staff within colleges and centrally to assist students in selecting a major, identifying career pathways and building a professional profile for eventual placement. Serve on college- and/or university-wide task forces/committees that impact student success at WVU.
