Information Systems Specialist 3 -Student Financial Support .and.amp; Services (11643)Student Financial Support and Services (SFSS) at West Virginia University is seeking applicants for an Information Systems Specialist 3 (Professional Technologist 3.289) position. As a key member of the SFSS team, this strong self-starter and experienced information technologist will be responsible for meeting the technical needs of SFSS across a variety of platforms. The incumbent will develop and maintain multiple systems, including but not limited to BANNER, ARGOS, AcademicWorks, and Campus Logic. In addition to creating and monitoring daily and cyclical processes, this position will provide data analysis, report design, and development of systems and processes to deliver a product to both internal and external users. The successful candidate will be able to function well both independently and as part of the team.In order to be successful in this role, the ideal candidate will:Perform testing, verification, and validationfor internal custom code and vendor software releases, patches, and add-ons.Develop and deploy complex informationtechnology projects critical to the advancement of the University's mission torecruit, admit, and matriculate a high-quality student population.Lead various projects to analyze, plan,design, and implement major technical initiatives.Respond, research, and resolve unique technicalprocessing issues/concerns brought forth by both end users and other technicalstaff.Act as an advisor in obtaining industrystandards/best practices to ensure the resulting product meets establishedrequirements in identifying, developing, and resolving issues for internal andexternal customers.Provide written procedures and system trainingto users striving to develop as functional users or as updates require. Thisincludes creating or updating technical and functional documentation includingbut not limited to system configuration, infrastructure, and integrationspecifications.Create and/or automate processes to improve theeffectiveness and efficiency of all offices within SFSS. Collaborate with otherUniversity departments to increase efficiency and find solutions.Perform constant/ongoing evaluation of currenttechnology usage making recommendations for areas of improvement and developingplans for implementation.Research and advise on appropriate technology tomeet project, unit, SFSS, and/or University needs. Analyze user needs and makerecommendations for implementation.Develop solutions on various CustomerRelationship Management (CRM) platforms. Facilitate and develop integrationsbetween the CRM platforms and BANNER.Ensure system backups are maintained accordingto the University's backup policies.Provide applicationadministration, analysis, Tier 2 support and resolution for CRM day-to-dayoperations and projects. This includes code migration, change control,application security, performance, and availability.Create or update technical and functionaldocumentation including but not limited to system configuration,infrastructure, and integration specifications.Create profiles, roles, permissions, groups,sharing rules, field and organization level security settings, data mapping,data recovery, object modeling, and page layout design various platforms.Perform data management tasks, including dataconversion, data migration, deduplication, and identification and repair ofdata quality issues.Participate in change and release managementprocess.Ensure compliance For full info follow application link.West Virginia University is proud to be an Equal Opportunity employer, and is the recipient of an NSF ADVANCE award for gender equity.
