EDUCATION, CERTIFICATION, AND/OR LICENSURE:

1.High school diploma or equivalent required.

2.Graduate of a Medical Assistant Program OR one year of clinical experience.

3.West Virginia state criminal background check required, and Federal, if applicable, for DHHR BMS regulated area.PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

EDUCATION, CERTIFICATION, AND/OR LICENSURE:

1.Registration or Certification preferred.

2.Obtain certification in Basic Life Support within 30 days of hire date.

EXPERIENCE:

1.One-year experience as a Medical Assistant or patient care preferred.CORE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: The statements described here are intended to describe the general nature of work being performed by people assigned to this position. 1.Provide support to medical staff to assure patients' needs are met and to assure efficient operation of outpatient unit.

2.Assist providers when possible in completing requisitions or forms for patient examination or testing. May assure availability of test results for patient visits. Assist patients and providers with medical office visits.

3.Administer prescribed medication under supervision of attending provider.

4.Perform qualitative and quantitative tests and examinations of specimens.

5.Obtain and document patients' specimens as ordered.

6.Documents and reports test results to medical provider.

7.After training and skills testing may perform assigned and/or all ordered POCT tests and maintain quality control testing and logs.

8.Schedules additional ancillary testing as needed. Assists providers when possible in completing requisitions or forms for patient examination or testing.

9.Act as chaperone during medical examinations.

10.Ensure medical records and test results are available for visit, including those from referring physicians. Inspect/review medical records to maintain correct order and completeness.

11.Monitors nurse call system and relays information to appropriate staff.Answers telephone calls and transmits information to appropriate staff.

12.Provides assistance and information to patients, families, and visitors as instructed by the physician.

13.Participates in Quality Assurance Program to assure quality patient services are provided.

The CCLE coordinates the development of consumer law, policy, and education research to support and serve consumers. We are committed to empowering and transforming communities.The College of Law at West Virginia University (WVU) invites applications for an Assistant Director of the Center for Consumer Law and Education which is servicing both WVU Law School and Marshall University, beginning July 1, 2024. The primary areas of responsibility are service to CCLE (80%) and teaching at WVU College of Law(20%). The ideal candidate has a Juris Doctor (JD) degree and an active West Virginia Start Bar license and membership Responsibilities: 1. Project Management: Oversee ongoing and new projects, ensuring they align with CCLE\'s joint mission and goals serving both WVU and MU.   • Description The RRI seeks applications for a Research Assistant Professor (RAP) with an 12-month annual appointment (eligible for annual leave and sick leave) who will report to the RRI Director. The RAP will help conduct regional economic research on a wide range of topics relevant to the West Virginia University land grant mission.
