The Private Events and Catering Manager generates and manages the catering business for an Eataly location with a focus on supervision and execution of catering operations and events. Event operations include preparation, oversight during the events as well as feedback following the completion of the event. Reports to the Store Director. Develops and maintains partnerships with the restaurant, retail and quick service departmentsManages in a diverse environment with a focus on client and customer serviceMaintains industry knowledge including principles and practices within cateringSupervises events at La Scuola: sets up, oversees and breaks down cooking classes, wine tasting classes, communal dinners, private dinners and private receptionsFacilitates communication between the client and chefs, beverage managers and restaurant team membersEnsures each individual event is planned correctly and runs smoothly from front-of-house supervision to behind-the-scenes organization and data entryConceives of and creates public classes, drafting class descriptions, compiling instructor biographies and creating class registration pages onlineParticipates in organizing storewide events, promotions and partner events.Has experience with revenue of $4 million+Performs other duties as required or assigned
