Description Job Description:We are currently seeking a skilled and experienced Collections Specialist to join our financial team. The Collections Specialist is responsible for managing and undertaking a collection of outstanding accounts receivables from existing clients. This role requires someone who is capable of maintaining professionalism and providing superior customer service in difficult situations.Responsibilities:

Manage and collect on portfolio of outstanding accounts receivables.

Initiate contact with debtors and negotiate payment arrangements within company guidelines and policies.

Resolve billing disputes with customers, providing proof of debt, payment history and copy of contracts/agreements, as needed.

Maintain up-to-date, comprehensive, and accurate records of all customer communications, payment plans, and collection efforts.

Generate and send out past-due notices to customers.

Meet or exceed assigned targets for collections.

Identify and escalate accounts requiring legal action or bad debt write-off.

Collaborate with internal teams to ensure collection procedures are effective and efficient.

Recommend changes in processes, policies and standards as needed to achieve optimal collection results.

Requirements

Requirements:

Proven work experience as a Collection Specialist or a similar role.

Must have knowledge of billing procedures and collection techniques (e.g. skip tracing).

Strong communication, negotiation and customer service skills.

Proficiency in MS Office and customer service software/databases.

Good math skills and ability to handle money responsibly.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

High level of patience, attention to detail, and excellent problem-solving abilities.

Knowledge about laws and regulations in the collections industry.

High school diploma or GED. A degree in finance, business, or related field can be a plus.

  • AT A GLANCE:

  • Summary Serves as Assistant General Manager (AGM) in the ATO; Air Traffic Services; Western Service Area, Seattle District Office, responsible for planning and directing multiple activities and programs in a complex matrix organization in a specific Air Traffic District assigned to the highest facility-level within the Seattle District. The AGM shares full managerial responsibility and authority, reporting to the General Manager (GM) and acts in the absence of the GM, as required. Responsibilities Applies extensive knowledge/experience in management of terminal/enroute air traffic facilities to integrate air traffic operations, support services and administrative programs to advance the tactical use of concepts and technologies to achieve the strategic goals of ATO and FAA. Ensures that all district operational and support plans are integrated w/the operational philosophy of the ATS directorate at all levels. Provides input and guidance on policies, standards, and procedures as regards to all district activities, to ensure the safe, secure and efficient use of airspace. Identifies information needs, training requirements, and ad hoc and recurring reporting requirements to include reporting to the GM. Applies experience in managing and directing air traffic operations and/or support activities to maintain close connectivity w/field facility operations and support activities throughout the District. Ensures GM and district staff are able to respond quickly to unexpected and emergency situations. Provides a timely, accurate, unfiltered flow of information up the management chain. Responds to stakeholder concerns by focusing on systemic issues, professionalism, training, and system efficiency. Applies a comprehensive understanding of the principles of management and strategic planning to plan, direct, coordinate, evaluate and manage the operational and support activities of a highly technical matrix organization consisting of ATMs and SMs. Works on complex projects and programs based on the objectives of the organization along w/the GM.
