You'll collaborate with diverse teams and technologies worldwide, ensuring the smooth operation of our systems and contributing to our collective goals.Reporting into a team in the Operations organization, the Sr. Data Engineer will be working closely across the entire matrix of divisions and functions. You will be responsible for helping to manage our data analytics team’s IT infrastructure to meet top level business objectives and facilitate an environment of efficient administrative operations. As a Sr. Data Engineer with DevOps and DBA focus, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation, performance, and security of our software infrastructure, databases, and AWS Databricks environment. You will play a pivotal role in maintaining and enhancing our technology stack, contributing to the stability and scalability of our systems.What will you do? Software Infrastructure Oversight (AWS):

Manage and maintain server infrastructure, ensuring high availability and optimal performance.

Collaborate with our Data/Software Engineering team to deploy and monitor software applications.

Implement and enforce security standard processes to safeguard the infrastructure.

Database Administration (SQL Server):

Focus on database object modeling and design to optimize data storage and retrieval.

Perform regular database maintenance, backups, and recovery tasks.

Monitor and troubleshoot database performance issues, ensuring optimal database performance.

Collaborate with software developers to improve database efficiency and functionality.

DevOps Support for AWS Databricks:

Configure and manage AWS Databricks clusters and workspaces.

Automate infrastructure provisioning and deployment using infrastructure-as-code (IaC) tools.

Monitor and optimize the AWS Databricks environment for performance and cost efficiency.

Collaborate with the development and data science teams to ensure seamless integration of infrastructure with data pipelines and applications.

How will you get here?

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).

Proven experience in software infrastructure management, server maintenance, and performance optimization.

Strong expertise in database administration, object modeling, and performance tuning.

Experience with cloud computing platforms, particularly AWS and AWS Databricks.

Proficiency with DevOps practices and tools for infrastructure automation.

Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
