Collections Specialist

Description We are currently seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior Accounts Receivable Specialist/Collection Specialist to join our client's team. This role will be key in managing the collection activities for this service company. Suitable candidates would be handling low-volume, high-value accounts. The ideal candidate will demonstrate exceptional attention to detail, strong communication skills, and a solid understanding of accounting principles.Responsibilities:

Overseeing daily accounts receivable and collection operations within the organization.

Managing high-value, low-volume customer accounts.

Developing and implementing effective recovery strategies.

Monitoring and maintaining customer accounts for non-payments, delayed payments, and other irregularities.

Reconciling client accounts and resolving any discrepancies.

Keeping abreast of new regulations or procedures in business practices and accounting principles.

Generating aging reports and other documentation.

Regularly reviewing the company’s financial status and identifying areas for potential improvement.

Developing and implementing operational improvements to speed up the collection process.

Accountable for reducing delinquency for assigned accounts and effectively planning to achieve the company's financial goals.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting or related field from a recognized institution.

At least 5 years of experience in accounts receivable or collections, preferably in a senior role.

Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and accounting software.

Knowledge of financial regulations and accounting principles.

Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.

Excellent organizational skills, ability to multitask and prioritize tasks.

Capability to work independently as well as to contribute positively to a team.

Exceptional customer service and negotiation skills.
