The Lead Facilities Technician, under the supervision and direction of the Assistant Facilities & Operations Manager, is responsible for a wide range of facilities services tasks, including but not limited to, non-technical maintenance of plumbing, electrical, heating, ventilating, and/or air conditioning facilities and equipment, at a level not requiring formal licensure. May be required to perform tasks of other unlicensed trades, such as a light equipment operator, carpenter, painter, landscaper, and/or locksmith.  The efforts of Facilities Technician 2 ensure that WCPA is operationally compliant and efficient in all aspects described. Additionally, this individual is responsible for ensuring that this happens in such a way that it enables the rest of the school to focus almost exclusively on student achievement and culture.Essential Job Functions: In partnership with the Assistant Facilities & Operations Manager, performs ongoing preventative maintenance and repair work on facility mechanical, electrical, and other installed systems Assist licensed technicians with maintenance of all HVAC systems and associated equipment, electrical equipment, plumbing systems, building management systems, and building repairsEnsure the efficient and prompt handling of all department work orders and requests.Controls and maintains inventories for assigned tools, supplies, and materials.  Assists in implementing departmental policies and procedures.Conducting consistent inspections and ensuring the upkeep and maintenance of all areas of campusReview and understand equipment and methods of operation, fire/life safety, and other systemsMay assist in maintaining water treatment and storage systemMay perform general maintenance, custodial, landscaping, and trash removal tasksMay repair kitchen equipmentComply with all safety procedures and requirements.Ensures proper care in the use and maintenance of equipment and supplies, promotes continuous improvement of workplace safety and environmental practicesMaintain compliance with City, County, and State ordinances and codesSupport any after-hours building needs and activities as requiredAttend training sessions and seminarsOther assigned tasks as requested
