The transaction will enhance the resources and potential of the business' storage solutions, including client and enterprise SSDs, in the rapidly growing NAND Flash space amid the era of big data.This is an exciting time to be at Intel - come join our team as a Hardware Engineer and work on one of the most advanced 3DNAND and SSD technology portfolios in the world. As the global leader in the semiconductor industry, Intel possesses many industry-leading SSD technologies including the most capable Quadruple Level Cell (QLC) NAND Flash products. As a Hardware Engineer, you will be part of a world-class team that will transition to lead the SSD business at SK hynix.This position aligns to Phase 1 of the transaction, which includes the 3DNAND enterprise and client SSD business. Phase 1 is expected to close in late 2021, subject to regulatory approvals and other customary conditions. At deal close, all employees aligned to this phase of the transaction will transition to SK hynix.NSG is a business group within Intel that is responsible for the design, development, and manufacturing of SSDs for both client and enterprise applications.HW engineers design and develop SSD products that includes researching components, simulations, schematic capture, component placement & routing on printed circuit boards (PCB), building prototypes, validating designs and successfully transitioning to high volume manufacture (HVM). HW engineers ensure that SSD designs conform to standards and specifications. HW engineers make development plans and cost estimates for project teams and execute to product schedules.Responsibilities also include developing tests procedures for components and SSD product designs and writing FW for component and SSD product validation. HW engineers need to work closely with cross functional teams during pre and post design phase for smooth development of products and to meet product schedules.Hardware Engineers develop solutions to problems utilizing formal education and judgment.Hardware (HW) team in NSG division of Intel Corporation is looking for a HW engineer. HW team is responsible for all product design development phases ranging from PCB circuit design, simulations, layout, prototyping and validation leading to high volume manufacture of Intel's Solid State Drives (SSDs).As an SSD HW Engineer, you will be responsible for range of tasks related to PCB design for SSD products. Your responsibilities will include but not limited to:Working closely with rest of the project teams to develop and qualify SSD productsEvaluate and validate components for SSD PCBs.Planning and documentation.Dealing with challenging situation.Communicate with different teams building relationship with them.QualificationsThe below minimum qualifications must be met to be considered for this position.Minimum Qualifications:

Candidate must have a BS or MS in Electrical Engineering or an equivalent degree.Understanding of analog and mixed signal circuit design, signals and systems and transmission lines.Minimum 3+ years experience in PCB circuit design and validation.Understanding of high speed simulations, spice simulations and power system design.Experience in leading a team of design engineers on design projects.Inside this Business GroupNon-Volatile Solutions Memory Group: The Non-Volatile Memory Solutions Group is a worldwide organization that delivers NAND flash memory products for use in Solid State Drives (SSDs), portable memory storage devices, digital camera memory cards, and other devices.
