TeamBuilders is recruiting for an experienced

Ag Mechanic Shop Manager to join an agricultural business in Fresno County.

The Ag Mechanic Shop Manager will be responsible for hiring, developing and leading a team of Mechanic Technicians, Truck Mechanics and Fabricators for a successful and busy Agricultural business specializing in tree nut growing and processing.

Company offers an excellent benefit package as well as a competitive salary of up to $90K yearly, DOE. Position is being offered on a direct hire, full-time basis. The hours of the position are Monday through Friday and will require the Ag Mechanic Shop Manager to work overtime and weekends as necessary.

The Essential Duties of the Ag Mechanic Shop Manager:

• Hiring staff as necessary, training and supervision of Maintenance Department staff
• Scheduling maintenance and repair projects
• Conducting safety training and maintaining a safety program
• Manage the preventative maintenance program for tractors, forklifts, harvest shakers, sweepers, fleet of trucks, trailers, and company vehicles in addition to nut processing & packaging equipment
• Utilization of industry software and reporting such as Fleet Maintenance, InTouch, Field In and JD Link
• Support and supervise equipment and building installation projects
• Troubleshooting of electronic & computerized processing equipment, high voltage equipment and ability to read electrical schematics
• General understanding of electronic sorting equipment

Required Skills, Experience and Qualifications of the Ag Mechanic Shop Manager:

• Minimum of 3 years’ Ag Mechanic/Industrial Maintenance experience, a Degree or Certification is preferred
• Must have at least 3 years’ experience in managing and supervising
• Experience in welding and fabrication with mild steel, stainless steel and aluminum
• Experience in electronics and fundamentals of PLC
• Experience with conveyer systems
• Experience in troubleshooting and repairing engines, conducting routine maintenance and upkeep of automotive fleet and farm equipment
• Ability to follow and ensure compliance of all safety policies and procedures
• Ability to work overtime and weekends as needed
• Must have a valid CA driver’s license
• Must be able to pass a physical and drug screen
• Bilingual (English / Spanish) preferred but not required
• Ability to work with diverse groups and teams
• Outstanding organizational, detail orientation and project management skills
• Professional communication skills (interpersonal, verbal and written)
