More than half of our job openings are filled by internal promotion, and we encourage TEAM Members to gain a variety of experiences across different functional groups Poultry Processing Maintenance Mechanic Pay Range: $18.45/hr – $26.15/hr (Additional $.20 per hour for hours worked between 7:00pm and 11:59pm. Additional $1.00 per hour for hours worked between 12:00am-4:59am) Responsibilities
Provide maintenance support for the Belgravia facility by maintaining and repairing machinery in various areas including evisceration, packaging, and W&P.
Indicate the major day to day problems you encounter and the solution to these problems
What actions you take independently and what requires approval by higher authority
Determine job requirement and provide for safety
Help maintain quality and food safety to insure compliance with company quality standards and USDA requirements
Qualifications
Must have five years experience in poultry processing maintenance or related field
Must be able to troubleshoot and make “on the spot” corrections to emergency situations
Must be able to weld, arc, and heli-arc, and use cutting torch
Must have good written and oral communication skills, in English.
Must be self motivated and able to work with a minimum of supervision
Must be able to lift 50LBS
Must be able to work from ladder, safely
A mechanical test will be administered and utilized to determine skill level
Must be able to work rotating shifts and weekends as required
Must be willing to cross train in processing maintenance area
Must be able to stand for prolong periods of time (8-10HRS) on a concrete/metal grate floor
Maintain management standards.
