The Hood in Eureka is seeking a Kitchen Supervisor
We operate a 'fast casual' food concept utilizing scratch cooking of local and organic ingredients
Consistent schedule(30+ ) hours per week - NOT a seasonal schedule
Any food service experience is applicable including fast food or franchise experience
Supervisors have the daily support from owners

The position requires both culinary and supervisory skills.
Line cook and prep (but not limited to)
Supervision of up to 4 line cooks
Preparation of daily menu items by following written recipe and cooking procedures
Train and supervise line/prep cooks to ensure compliance to recipes, kitchen procedures, sanitation and cooking procedures
Instructs cooks and other workers in the preparation, cooking and presentation of food.
Communicate with staff regarding menu specifications and seasonal changes
Make sure the hygiene and food safety standards are met in all stages of food preparation, starting with the ingredients and ending with the finished dish
Maintain a clean and organized kitchen and facility including putting away inventory (FIFO) and prepped foods.
Follows all recipes, specs, and kitchen procedures.
Performs all other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
Two or more year's restaurant and/or kitchen supervisory experience required.
Strong organizational and interpersonal skills required.
ServSafe® certification, or ability to become certified.
Able to work in a fast paced on your feet for up to 8 hours
Able to lift up to 50 pounds
