We are currently seeking a reliable and compassionate Dog Bather to join our team. This role is perfect for someone who loves working with animals and has experience in pet care Tuesday-Saturday from 9:00-12:00.
Job Summary:
The Dog Bather will be responsible for bathing and drying dogs, ensuring they are clean, comfortable, and well-cared for. This position requires attention to detail, patience, and a gentle approach with all breeds and temperaments.
Key Responsibilities:
Bathe dogs of various sizes and breeds using appropriate shampoos and conditioners.
Dry dogs thoroughly using towels and dryers.
Gently brush and detangle fur before and after baths.
Monitor dogs for signs of distress or health issues and report concerns to the owner.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bathing area.
Ensure that all equipment is sanitized and in good working condition.
Communicate effectively with dog owners about their pet’s bathing preferences and any observations.
Qualifications:
Experience working with dogs in a professional setting, such as grooming, bathing, or veterinary care.
Ability to handle dogs of all sizes and temperaments safely.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness.
Physical ability to lift and handle dogs safely.
Excellent communication skills and a friendly attitude.
Reliable transportation and punctuality are essential.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in a grooming or veterinary setting.
Knowledge of different dog breeds and their specific care needs.
Basic first aid knowledge for dogs.
