Arcata House Partnership is a local non-profit addressing the needs of homeless families and individuals.
We are searching for a talented and professional Case Manager.
Examples of Duties:
Interview and select applicants for the program;
Conduct client meetings and life skills education, if appropriate;
Supervise and support clients in keeping rental units safe and clean;
Support clients in applying for mainstream benefits (veterans benefits,Calworks, SSI);
Provide transportation to clients to obtain the above services and benefits;
Report program outcomes accurately (electronic HMIS and written reports);
Maintain accurate client case notes and other documentation as required; and
Provide crisis management.
Preferred Qualifications
BA/BS in Social Work, Psychology or related field; and
2 years demonstrated case management experience with the homeless preferred or low-income, at risk clients (with a history of substance abuse, family violence or mental illness for a social service agency) or
Any combination of education and experience that provides the ability and experience to perform the assigned duties.
Strong oral and written communication skills
Proof of automobile insurance, a clean driving record and a valid California Driver's license.
Highly qualified candidates would have experience case managing, knowledge of HUD programs and regulations, and a wish to be part of a community based approach to homeless solutions in Humboldt County.
Work schedule is full time, or part time. Schedules can be days, early evenings, and Saturday. Schedules are flexible. Benefits include paid vacation, holiday and sick time.
